About

Meet our team

Lucy

My name is Lucy and I am a gastroenterology registrar.

I completed basic physician training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in 2020 and will be starting advanced training in gastroenterology in 2023.

I am in the second year of my PhD through the University of Queensland, undertaken at the centre for liver disease research. The focus of my research is on improving the care of patients with type 2 diabetes and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

Research to me is more than drug trials, it’s about trying out new ideas to find the best way of doing things. I am interested in looking at our health system and trying out ideas to make it more efficient and reliable for our community.
